The Smallest Gift Can Make The Biggest Difference
The HeadBand Project: Strength In Buttons is a collective effort to provide healthcare personnel and other essential workers with headbands free of cost that are made to alleviate ear discomfort that may come up after wearing PPE for extended periods of time. The headbands are made with buttons attached to both sides so that any elastic may hang from the buttons rather than the individual’s ears.
Helping Hospitals in the Bay Area and Southern California
We have reached over 15+ different hospitals with over 1,700+ headbands in the past 3 months amidst the COVID-19 crisis. Some hospitals we have been able to provide for include: UCLA Medical Center, UCI Medical Center, Kaiser, Stanford Health Care, and many more! Currently, we are mainly based in the Bay Area and Southern California Areas, however we are able to ship requests domestically.

Donate To Our Workers on the Front Lines
Any amount is greatly appreciated as all donations contribute completely to headband materials and shipping costs for future batches. Regardless of amount, donor name will be added to the master list that we send out to healthcare teams, as well as posted on instagram. If you would like to make anonymous donations, please let us know.
Eligible for Tax Exemption
We are so happy to have Open Collective as our fiscal host! The Open Collective Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization which allows us to offer tax exemptions to donators.
More details on donating with Open Collective here. It requires you to make an account, but this method allows for tax deductions.

Not Eligible for Tax Exemption
If you do not want to create an Open Collective account AND do not need any tax exempt forms, then you can donate directly to @stephehknee (Stephanie Romero) on Venmo.
